Tyler Jade Weetman

Clinical Studies Officer - Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust

Biography

I have a background in Psychology having completed both my BSc and MSc at the University of Birmingham. I have worked in research at Birmingham Children’s hospital for the past 3 years. Over my time as an Assistant Research Psychologist, I have worked on a number of research projects including the CTIMP trial ADEPP which aims to determine whether an anti-depressant can prevent depression after a first episode of Psychosis, the CLEAR project which aims to provide an evidence base for the effectiveness of clozapine in a younger population and PPIP2, which aims to investigate the prevalence of autoimmune antibodies in patients with psychosis. I have also spent time visiting other NHS trusts to provide training on recruitment barriers and streamline their research processes.  Last year, I took a career break to travel for 5 months and returned to my new role as a Clinical Studies Officer as part of the Mental Health Mission.
